Job Description:

   

The Director of Governance & Strategic Planning will be a key global leader responsible for ensuring HPE Operations delivers on our commitments to the business and customers through strong leadership, governance and operational excellence. This role reports into the VP of HPE Ops Business Operations, and partners with HPE Operations leadership, finance business partners, the CEO office, and other leaders across HPE to ensure HPE Operations achieves our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HPE Operations in establishing, managing and promoting prioritized near-term and long-term strategies and associated initiatives, goals/priorities and measures

  • Ensure continued EC support for HPE Operations strategy by leading creation of materials for LTP, Strategic Business Reviews, and other EC staff content in close partnership with finance and L2 leaders

  • Maintain leadership team alignment and delivery of HPE Operations objectives through key governance processes including staff meetings and quarterly face-to-faces

  • Enable executive level engagements with key customers and partners for HPE Operations, including supporting the EVP & GM of the organization to be a strong Executive Sponsor to key customers and partners.

  • Also lead Business Operations in establishing, managing and promoting prioritized near-term and long-term strategies in support of the broader HPE Operations strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    • Degrees in Technology Management, Business, or related fields are advantageous.

  • Experience:

    • 15+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in HPE Operations (Quote to Cash, Supply Chain, or Services) preferred.

    • Prior executive experience preferred.

    • Demonstrated success in managing global teams across diverse cultures and geographies.

    • C-Level Partnering: Contributes to enduring executive relationships that establish the company's consultative professionalism and promotes its total solution capabilities at the highest levels of an organization.

    • Execution Management: Collaborates effectively with the company's BUs and value chain partners to ensure operational responsiveness to challenges, and alignment with business imperatives

    • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Orchestrates the development of strategic plans that reflect the company's business strategy to advance market share/penetration and achieve profitable growth.

    • Business and Financial Acumen: Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations. Understands the portfolio aspect of the company's products/services and how the businesses work together.

    • Change Management: Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization.

    • Problem Solving: Approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
