POSITION SUMMARY:The Clinical Counselor for Community Partnership Schools supports the mental health and wellbeing of students and families by assessing behavioral and counseling needs, developing treatment plans, providing counseling services, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources. They conduct evaluations to identify issues, create individualized plans, and offer one-on-one and group counseling sessions. Additionally, they coordinate a network of care tailored to the unique needs of students, parents, and families, playing a vital role in addressing mental health challenges and empowering clients to improve their circumstances. 
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Conduct assessments, prepare treatment plans, provide case management.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions; assess and reassess clients as needed; participate in treatment teams.
  • Ensure provision of aftercare services as appropriate.
  • Maintain moderate autonomy.
  • Utilize various IT systems effectively.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborate across programs with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to EEO compliance and workplace dignity principles.
  • Uphold core values and mission of the agency.
  • Provide individual and family counseling as needed.
  • Complete counseling documentation within 24 hours of sessions.
  • Follow up with clients and provide feedback to referral sources in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Ensure timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and reviews.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and case staffing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community agencies.
  • Observe students in classrooms for behavioral intervention plans.
  • Provide emergency support as part of the crisis support team.
  • Perform other administrative and assigned duties.
  • Display professionalism in daily school operations.
  • Respond to feedback, direction, and suggestions.
  • Accept responsibility and work as a team player.
  • Volunteer when needed and report whereabouts.
  • Promote a cohesive working environment.
  • Maintain professionalism in communications and relationships with external agencies, parents, and organizations.


Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:

Minimum master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related Human Service field required; Preferred 2+ years post bachelor’s experience directly in Human Services working with high-risk youth. Preference is given for a non-restricted license by the Florida Board of CSW/MFT/MHC as a Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists, and or Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC).
