The New School was founded by forward-thinking educators in 1919 to defy the intellectual constraints of a traditional college education. The Asset and Risk Management Analyst provides independent, rigorous analysis of the university’s debt, investments, real estate and insurance portfolios. Develops and enhances the framework for asset and risk management monitoring and reporting processes. Proactively thinks outside of the box and identifies new ways to evaluate risk.
This position reports to the AVP of Asset and Risk Management and will support the university’s treasury operations, investment management, and real estate & insurance functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury Operations
Assist in monitoring daily cash balances and support credit card processes and related eCommerce activities.
Work with Accounting and IT Security on PCI compliance and annual SAQ filings.
Coordinate and with work campus partners and external bank partners in annual testing, reporting and campaigns.
Investment Management/Endowment
Create and maintain of WorkDay Investment Profiles.
Report Schwab endowment account income and outgoing wires to Accounting monthly.
Work with the investment consultant to collect investment manager documents for annual audited financial statements and 990 filings (K1, AFS, monthly statements, and foreign investment reports).
Monitor stock gifts accounts and assist with liquidations and transfers.
Manage the payment and receipt of capital calls and distributions and monitor investment management fees.
Debt Management
Assist with new bond issuances, refundings, defeasances and on-going bond compliance.
Assist with LOC renewals and margin draw as needed.
Real Estate & Insurance
Follow up with Accounting and external real estate consultant to ensure the University is current on lease payments and rent receipts.
Assist with data gathering and filing of insurance renewals.
Support the University’s sale, purchase, and lease transactions.
General
Monitor investment, real estate and other department email accounts.
Other related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors in Finance or Accounting or related field of study.
Minimum of five years experience in treasury operations or investment management.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various internal and external constituents.
High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Evidence of strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to summarize and present complex financial analytics in a variety of formats.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or Master’s degree.
Experience in higher education is strongly preferred.
WORK MODE
Hybrid - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions. #LI-HYBRID
SALARY RANGE
$75,000 - $85,000 annually
