Are you passionate about enhancing IT development performance? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Platform Engineering Team. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing platform products, such as standardized AWS modules (IaC) and pipelines, while supporting teams in adopting best practices. With a strong DevOps mindset, we aim to automate processes wherever possible to minimize manual work.

 

Your key responsibilities:

• Enhance existing platform products and services.
• Design and implement new platform products and services.
• Collaborate with Business IT developers to build prototypes and test new modules.
• Support ADM teams in adopting platform modules and DevOps best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements for the long term development of the developer platform.
• The team is based in Essen, Swindon, and London. Therefore willingness for occasional travel is required.

 

Your powerful skills

• Expertise in AWS Cloud: Deep knowledge of AWS cloud environment and its common services.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with containerization (Docker) and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes/EKS, ECS).
• DevOps & CI/CD: Strong experience with DevOps best practices and CI/CD tools, especially Azure CI/CD.
• Infrastructure as Code: Skilled in Infrastructure as Code frameworks, particularly Terraform, and infrastructure automation.
• Platform as a Service: Experience in Infrastructure and Platform as a Service environments.
• Development & Operations: Proven experience working in development teams responsible for both development and operations of applications.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

 

Advantageous

• Cloud Security & Networking: Knowledge of cloud security, cloud networking, and expertise in monitoring and logging frameworks.
• Certifications: AWS or other relevant certifications.
• Programming Languages: Experience with common programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, Python, etc.
