Robert Half, one of FORTUNE’s World’s Most Admired Companies and a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For is hiring for a Workday Systems Analyst III to join the HR Information Systems department.

The Workday Systems Team provides impact analysis from a technical perspective and facilitates business process design discussions that will ultimately lead to the documentation, development and implementation of system solutions designed to address specific business requirements.

Serves as a liaison between Cross Functional and business users and provide application support and guidance to other groups within the Corp Services Departments, locally, nationally, internationally and with outside vendors and/or consultants with regards to integrations and downstream impacts of Workday functionality and data.  

The team is responsible for the full cycle management (design, development, Unit testing, implementation, maintenance) of multiple technical projects/enhancements ranging from simple to complex.

The team possesses a balance of Functional and Technical expertise for Workday application and HR business process related initiatives.

The position requires project management, business analysis, deep functional and technical expertise and excellent business communications skills.

The team provides and promotes: automation, analysis, innovation, system enhancements, communication, and education. 

What You'll Do:

Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Documentation

  • Assess impact to current and future business processes and systems, assessing upstream & downstream effect of business and system

  • Consults with various subject matter experts from RHI business units, Field Accounting staff, branch locations, Field Service Center personnel, clients, users, or others to obtain business requirements as required.

  • Function as project lead, as required on initiatives where critical organizational applications are impacted or require change.

  • Identifies areas of needed improvement/gaps, or opportunities to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, or customer satisfaction and/or opportunities to reduce expenses and eliminate waste.  

  • Prepare and support proposals that will: close gaps, refine/streamline processes, increase efficiency and quality, enhance or upgrade systems or technological resources, reduce costs, eliminate waste, support auditing controls and compliance, educate clients, improve communication, and/or increase client satisfaction while striving to achieve department goals and objectives.

  • Reviews, analyzes and refines business requests and ad hoc requirements, formulating system solutions to parallel overall business strategies.

  • Translates customers' needs into business requirement documents into technical requirement documents,  that can be presented to all levels of management, customers, development teams and vendors. 

  • Work directly with vendors to review solutions to address technical requirements, complete detailed fit/gaps and support recommendations to sr. management.

System Deployment (Build/Test/Deploy)

  • Function as liaison between IT cross functional departments and business to ensure effective delivery of system changes.

  • Obtain migration approvals from management

  • Perform intake of issues, validate, assess impacts, prioritize and coordinate with IT Product Managers to resolved defects and retest

  • Work with the business Product Manager to develop detailed User Acceptance test cases and scenarios.  Including giving guidance on what and how to test.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects ranging from simple to complex, that will change and enhance business processes & systems.

  • Consider the impact the projects have on staff, clients, and technology.

  • Determine the resources and assistance that each project will require.

  • Develop and/or maintain project plans, status reports and other materials required to track and monitor the progress of assigned projects.

  • Consult with internal or external consultants, and other RHI organizational business units, cross-functionally, locally and nationally, and internationally.

  • Communicate with all parties directly involved or affected by the deliverables f the project. 

  • Prepares detailed documentation throughout projects and assignments to keep management and stakeholders apprised of status/progress.
