What we’re looking for:
We are seeking an exceptional Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Product Manager to join the team that manages all paid marketing traffic for the Gartner Digital Markets (GDM) websites, including Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp and UpCity. In this crucial role, you will lead CRO initiatives and drive the enhancement of our paid landing page experience through a structured test-and-learn approach. Your responsibilities will include brainstorming, prioritizing, defining requirements, overseeing development, launching tests, analyzing outcomes, and making data-driven recommendations. Serving as the vital link between marketing channels and our product/engineering/UX teams, you will spearhead our hypothesis-driven testing strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the conversion funnel, expertise in CRO best practices, and a proven track record of boosting conversion rates, improving user experience, and meeting monthly and quarterly performance targets.
Why you’ll want to come to work:
Outline testing hypotheses and ideas. Coordinate with the Marketing and Product teams across SEO, SEM, Branding, and more to brainstorm and outline testing ideas.
Manage the testing roadmap. Develop a prioritized list for all testing ideas using a scoring-based system.
Develop test requirements and mock-ups. Work with our Marketing and Product teams to set the testing goals, draft wireframes and write tech requirements so they can be easily communicated and passed to our Engineering teams for development.
Own the tracking, management, and analysis for all performance marketing tests. You will leverage industry-leading testing platforms to track, report and manage all CRO testing.
Report on testing results. Communicate testing results to management and leadership.
Share and build on successes. Leverage testing learnings across the businesses to accelerate success.
What you’ll bring to the team:
Must have:
CRO expertise. You have 3+ years of experience with CRO and user experience improvements with an established and consistent history of success.
Project management and execution experience. You consistently drive projects and execute through cross-functional teams to deliver improvements to conversion rate, revenue, profit, quality, user experience and more.
Significant experience with at least one of the major testing platforms such as Optimizely, Optimize 360, Adobe, or Visual Website Optimizer, along with familiarity with Google Ads, customer data platforms and marketing automation tools.
Top analytical skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and optimize the conversion funnel. Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is essential, along with familiarity with other analytics platforms such as Hotjar or FullStory. Additionally, a foundational understanding of frequentist and Bayesian statistical models is important to effectively interpret test results and make data-driven decisions.
Understanding of advertising technology (i.e. cookies, first party vs third party data, conversion pixels, audiences, etc.). You have perspective on the future of privacy and how it will impact CRO.
