Located on Hillsborough Street, across adjacent to the iconic Memorial Bell Tower at North Carolina State University, the Aloft Raleigh hotel’s vibe is consistent with the youthfulness and vibrancy Raleigh is known for.  From its sassy rooms with modern flair to its social WXYZ bar and remix lounge, a stay at Aloft Raleigh cannot be matched. The 135-room hotel is minutes from Downtown Raleigh, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and District Village. 


The Aloft Raleigh is currently seeking a Full-time Security position to work Sunday through Thursday from 10pm-6am to be responsible for the safety and security of guests and team members in the hotel. Those with hotel experience are strongly preferred. Other duties and qualifications include:


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Monitor and Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, and parking areas.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property by adhering to established security protocols.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to any security breaches, disturbances, or emergencies, and report incidents accurately.
  • Access Control: Monitor access points and verify the credentials of guests, visitors, and employees.
  • Surveillance: Operate and monitor security surveillance systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and addressing any concerns related to security.
  • Report Writing: Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hotel management and local law enforcement agencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred, especially in a hospitality setting.
  • Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
