Job Description

 

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Scheduling Lead to join our team in Seattle! This individual will immediately support a major healthcare construction program!

Responsibilities include the assessment and integration of program conical schedules through the funding life cycle. Your responsibilities will include the capture of data trending and creation of a benchmarking database content for future estimating and schedule development. You will also have the responsibility of integrity analysis and maintenance of preconstruction schedules, Integrated Master schedules, program-level reporting and implementation of required standards and processes where required.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establishing, developing and updating the overall Project schedule by the integration of the Owner’s Contractors’ schedules and progress
  • Establishing the regular (weekly and monthly) overall Project progress report
  • Establishing baseline schedule of the Project based on the Owner's Contractors' baseline schedule including, but not limited to;
    • Establishing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and related numbering system
    • Establishing Progress Measuring System with quantities incorporating with WBS
    • Review, verification and approval of the Owner's Contractors' baseline schedule
    • Integration and updates of baseline schedule among the Owner's Contractors
  • Updating forecasting schedule of Project based on Owner's Contractors' current and forecasting schedule including, but not limited to.
    • Monitoring, review and verification of the Owner's Contractors' forecasting schedule.
    • Integration and updates of the forecasting schedule among the Owner's Contractors
    • Monitoring, review, verification and approval of the Owner's Contractors' progress with quantities
  • Assessing the overall Project schedule regularly to identify the impact on schedule and suggesting the remedial measures
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager by review and verification of the value engineering relating to the schedule
  • Supporting the Contract Manager by monitoring, review and verification of the Owner’s Contractors’ change order and claim relating to the extension of time
  • Preparing written comments by the form of letter to the Owner’s Contractors’ change order and claim relating to schedule
  • Advanced knowledge in planning and scheduling best practices and applications.
  • Develop and maintain program level schedule quality and integrity assessments.
  • On a rotational basis assess integrated master schedules, capture and interrogate forecasting and trends.
  • Liaise with team leads within the function to understand region specific requirements and support.
  • Bring innovation and efficiencies within program reporting to key stakeholders and associated governance.
  • Manage and build effective working relationships with stakeholders including Project Controls Group, Regional Scheduling Leads and project site scheduling team members.
  • Support upskilling both within the planning and scheduling function and wider program to drive a consistent standard of working.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction related field is required.
  • 12+ years of Schedule Control Management experience.
  • Commercial scheduling construction experience. 
  • Accreditation by AACE, PMI, or similar associations.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence & data analysis tools -- Tableau, SQL, Google data tools.
