We are seeking a Principal DevOps (IaC) Engineers to join our team. The qualified candidate will support the development, and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment. These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

The Principal DevOps/IaC Engineer will be well versed in the use of tools such as Ansible and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs

NOTE: This position will be filled onsite in the RTX Facility located in Richardson TX accordingly, and the ideal candidate will be expected to come on site to the RTX campus to perform work.

What You Will Do

• You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions
• You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks
• You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as Terraform
• You will assist with design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments
• You will assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8+ years of related work experience
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) design, development, and deployment
• Experience with deploying, configuring, maintaining COTS/FOSS products such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, Terraform
• Some travel (up to 10%) may be required to support deployments
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance is required after day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
• Experience with installing and configuring Kubernetes
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high visibility program
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
• Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes/Docker)
• Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
• Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging deployment and software infrastructure issues
• Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket)
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins)
• Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
• Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain
