We are seeking candidates for the position of Manager Training (7290) -Technical in the HR/Training.

Salary Range: Min: $104,000.00 - Mid: $130,000.00 - Max: $156,000.00

OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Directs all activities related to training for all Maintenance employees to ensure that the highest quality trainingis provided, using the most efficient means and state-of-the-art technology. Monitors the success rate of thestudents to guarantee that all programs provide the level of skill and knowledge transfer required. Ensure thattraining programs and associated materials provide the workforce with a comprehensive understanding of theregulations, policies, and skills necessary to safely perform their duties.
Provide overall direction and strategic oversight to ensure that SEPTA and all its’ employees comply with Authority rules, local, state and federal regulations and approved industry standards for transit operations, maintenance, training and safety. Confirm that all publications and training materials are in compliance with these standards. Act as SEPTA’s primary representative in legislative and regulatory forums and/or meetings in which SEPTA has vested interest (Bus/Rail/RailRoad/Welding).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical
- Directs the development, implementation and execution of all operational, core, and craft specific skill training to ensure that all SEPTA employees have the skills needed to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Develops specialized and advanced training programs in accordance with client demands, needs analysis and maintenance data.
- Prepare, adapt and implement basic programs to specific applications using objective guided course evaluations. Evaluates programs for effectiveness and develops and maintains programs suitable for training via the most efficient means and technology.
- Research, develop and/or procure instructional materials required for technical training.
- Assess student proficiency and progress by preparing, evaluation and administering oral, written and task performance tests
- Directs the development, implementation and execution of training programs designed to instruct all Maintenance personnel on existing and new, safety rules, maintenance and inspection procedures and regulatory laws and policies, to ensure that all SEPTA employees have the knowledge needed to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Directs the development, implementation, and execution of all certification and recertification training programs to ensure all SEPTA employees are compliant with Authority rules, local, state and federal regulations and approved industry standards.
- Provide consultation resource to ensure that the training of all Maintenance personnel meets and complies with the Authority rules, local, state, and federal regulations, and approved industry standards.
- Consults with senior management to develop and implement a uniform set of standards for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and inspection of all new and current vehicles and equipment.
- Consults with senior management to identify any special training needed for new vehicles, equipment, revenue tariffs, customer service and any update procedures affecting hourly and SAM employees.

Technical
- Coordinate with Training personnel to develop a comprehensive and highly motivating curriculum.
- Directs the development, implementation and execution of training programs designed to instruct all Maintenance personnel on new vehicles, equipment revenue tariffs, customer service and any update procedures, including but not limited to: Job Task Analysis, Skill Gap Analysis, Curriculum Development, Program Development and Evaluations.
