Summary

We are searching for a Payment Optimization Manager who will be responsible for a key component of our payments business growth strategy, and the advancement of our supplier payments network.
This client-facing role will drive revenue by working closely with our customers to optimize their payments, including developing and executing supplier campaign strategies to maximize adoption of our virtual card and other payments products. This individual will also collaborate closely with internal partners such as Sales, Implementation, Customer Success, Product and Marketing to further support these initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Payment Operations, this highly visible and strategically important role is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on a fast-growing company in the exciting fintech market.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Routinely engage with prospects and existing clients throughout their lifecycle with MineralTree to understand their specific payment needs and how our payment solutions, including virtual card adoption, can most benefit them and their suppliers

  • Drive client adoption, growth, retention, and the overall success of clients’ payment programs

  • Provide payments subject matter expertise during prospective client sales engagements

  • Conduct spend analysis of clients’ supplier files, and consult with clients on supplier enablement strategies based upon this analysis and industry best practices

  • Develop and execute customers’ supplier enablement campaigns

  • Coordinate supplier outreach with our in-house supplier on-boarding team

  • Facilitate direct outreach to key strategic suppliers as necessary

  • Manage communication with clients on campaign progress and outcomes

  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure a positive client and supplier experience

  • Critically evaluate the business processes related to the role, and suggest improvements where needed

  • Other duties as required to support MineralTree’s and our customers’ success
     

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: Degree in Finance, Marketing, Business, etc.; Combination of relevant training and/ or experience in lieu of degree

  • Typically Minimum 10+ Years Relevant Exp

  • Experience in client facing roles and/or financial industry.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial credit card, ePayables, virtual card, financial services, or merchant services, preferably in a customer management or sales capacity

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and goals

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • High degree of energy and self-motivation 

  • Strong client-facing presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, take initiative, and drive results

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

  • High standards of integrity

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

Pay: Pay Range is from $105,000 - $147,450 and there is no bonus plan or commissions associated with the role.
