Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Application Development Teams are responsible for writing required application specifications and using programming various languages and development tools to design, build, test, implement, and support web and desktop applications.

This position is for an Application Developer on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The IAM team is part of the Security and Risk Management (SRM) team within Global TE Information Solutions (TEIS). TEIS provides IT infrastructure, solutions, process innovation, support, cyber defense, access management, and governance for TE’s data, systems, devices, and business.

The candidate will be part of a global team with coworkers in United States, India, Malaysia and Czechia, and collaborating to develop, support, configure, and maintain applications, systems, and processes related to managing Identity lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding of workers, access requests, approval workflows, federated authentication, identity data synchronization, and password management. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IAM solutions to ensure the security and efficiency of our organization's digital assets.

Key Roles and Responsibilities-

•    Develop, secure, deploy, and maintain applications and IT solutions
•    Lead application requirement investigations 
•    Be involved in application design
•    All team members are expected to support a team culture of best practices development and collaborative design with a focus on reducing code complexity and optimizing application performance
•    Implement best security practices and comply with audit retention policies and traceability requirements
 

What your background should look like:

Functional/Technical Skills    

Required: MINIMUM 7-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•    C# .NET Application development using Core and ASP.NET MVC

•    Responsive design approaches using Angular or similar client-side technologies
•    Experience with developing REST APIs
•    Experience with Active Directory, Azure, and LDAP
•    Experience with ADFS, SAML, OAuth 2.0
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Strong initiative, and ability to accomplish set goals with minimal oversight
•    Experience leading and managing projects involving cross-functional teams
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms with a focus on customer needs
•    Ability to gather, translate and address business, stakeholder, functional, and nonfunctional requirements
 

Desired:
•    Foundation in the Entity Framework
•    Database design and normalization
•    SQL Server
•    Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Development of Functions, Packages, Triggers, and Security Grants 
•    Understanding of Identity Life Cycle (IT relationship to an electronic identity)
•    Knowledge of security concepts (authentication protocols and access controls), security standards, and regulations 
•    Understanding of industry standard and regulations for security compliance
•    Ability to design and implement secure IAM solutions
•    Network and browser tracing tools
•    Agile development, requirements gathering and documentation
•    Test-Driven Development 
•    Experience with identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in applications (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
•    Experience with integrating secure coding principles and practices into the SDLC
•    Experience with commercial IAM solutions
