Senior Director, Corporate Services

The Senior Director of Corporate Services leads functions for the VSP Enterprise, including but not limited to Facilities Management, Construction, Operations and Protection. Directly supervises leaders, and key individual contributors to provide senior leadership of the Facilities Division.

Responsible for Corporate Services staff serving all LOBs. Represents Finance and Facilities on complex projects and strategic initiatives across all LOBS including acquisitions and joint ventures. Work closely with the executive team in Facilities to shape overall mission as it aligns to company values, caring for our people, developing the department’s budget, and monitoring expenses to ensure department costs are within established levels

Oversee the strategy for Enterprise Corporate Services delivery and define objectives to support company goals. Responsible for developing short- and long-term plans and implementing programs to deliver first-class facilities for VSP employees and customers. Develop best practices and partner with LOB cross-functional leadership to reinforce policies relating to Corporate Services

Model the organization’s values while developing and coordinating a strategic approach to world-class business solutions across the Enterprise. Accomplished through brand development, functional and affordable design, value engineering, best-in-class vendor selection and management, budgetary control, quality assurance, and quality control, on-site and virtual project supervision, and iterative learning improvement relative to all Enterprise locations. Positively impact EBITDA by minimizing costs and utilizing life cycle analytics in division initiatives

Develop innovative ideas and strategies to streamline reporting and disseminate information while considering both external factors (e.g., market, financial, industry) and internal factors (e.g., financial strategies and processes). Maintain industry knowledge and relationships to forecast and respond to market pressures. Make recommendations to senior leadership to ensure strategic implementation of attractive, functional, comfortable, cost-effective, and durable facility environments

Lead Corporate Services professionals to include selection, training, coaching, counseling, and performance management of a team of employees and outside professional firms, contractors, and suppliers. Identify and prioritize training that addresses the Department/Division’s Goals and business support needs and develops clear plans of succession for the department

Partner with multiple lines of business leadership, internal business partners, and external vendors to lead and execute a coordinated, stakeholder-sanctioned method of completing all types and sizes of Corporate Services projects

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Corporate Services Management, or related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3 additional years of experience related to functional area

Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports

6+ years of experience in leading a complex Corporate Services Department

Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent business and leadership skills, including the ability to lead at the enterprise level

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Proficient at facilitating meetings and negotiating across all levels of the organization

Proven ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical, individuals or groups at all levels of the organization

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
