Job Summary

Metrology Technician at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant responsible for maintaining all aspects of the CPNPP metrology lab to help ensure that supported work groups at the station are able to maintain all equipment in a safe, reliable and efficient manner within all environmental and regulatory standards.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Maintaining an environment conducive to nuclear and personal safetyEnsuring adherence to regulations, policies, and proceduresMaintain documentation of work, including testing documentationComplete and maintain a wide spectrum of technical qualifications Maintaining calibration procedures current per station requirementsCalibration, control and repair of M&TE and associated reference standardsInitiating deficient M&TE evaluation reports in a timely mannerInitiating M&TE/reference standard calibration evaluationsCompleting and maintaining master data sheets for calibrated equipment Tracking and issuing M&TE to station personnelReview equipment usage to determine M&TE equipment which can be retired and no longer require calibration.Provide yearly input during budget cycles for equipment requiring replacement (both calibration equipment and equipment being calibrated) Prepare for outage / at-power required calibrations prior to scheduled work.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

3 years related work experienceDemonstrated ability to learnSound understanding of various process dynamicsAbility to maintain and adhere to technical proceduresExperience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/departmentMaintain effective working relationships within the team/departmentProblem solving techniques to address issuesProvide the station with reliable support to ensure all station test equipment is available when needed
