Position Summary

Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines and to ensure material availability and deliver when needed to meet production schedules. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from facility and within the facility. Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and maintain packing and boxing inventory

• Operate lift equipment (fork truck, order picker, reach truck)

• Read production schedule and deliver correct parts or raw material to production or shipping

• Stage parts and finished products in correct storage area in warehouse

• Keep up with all material transactions in the computer system

• Load and unload trucks

• Assist production with prompt removal of scrap

• Performs daily OSHA required lift truck inspection

• Report mechanical or safety issues to management promptly

• Work in a constant state of alertness

• Regular and predictable attendance

• Work cooperatively with co-workers

Experience and Skill Required

• SAP computer skills

• Excellent problem-solving techniques

• Strong organizational skills

• Good product knowledge

• Must be a self-starter who consistently works well with others

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in scanning process and strong computer skills a plus.

• Must have valid driver's license
