Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a lawyer to join the Real Estate practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in representing leading renewable energy clients in a wide range of property development matters. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require excellent writing and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. At least seven years of legal experience in real estate is required. Experience in title matters is a must, and experience with renewable energy development is preferred. This opening is for a non-partnership track position.

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The full time base annual salary for this position is expected to range between $275,000- $300,000. This range represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for the position. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
Key Requirements:
- 7-10 years of real estate experience.
- Experience with renewable energy project developments preferred.
- Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, and other transactional real estate documents.
- Experience advising on utility-scale renewable energy projects, particularly regarding site control and title insurance.
- Experience counseling clients through purchases and leasing of real property, including working with title companies and surveyors in negotiating title insurance coverage and endorsement language and survey specifics.
- Expertise in reviewing title commitments, preparing closing instruction letters, and drafting and negotiating curative instruments to address title defects and other title issues for developers.
- Strong academic credentials, communication, and writing skills.
- Someone in our Austin, Chicago, or California offices preferred.
