<p><span><strong>For every child, </strong><em><strong>results</strong></em></span></p>
<p>In the context of the Country Programme for Greece (2022-2026) approved by the UNICEF Executive Board in February 2022, UNICEF and the Government of Greece have agreed on national targets for children, concerning health, education, social protection, child protection, justice and youth employability.</p>
<p>Regarding the Health and Nutrition agenda, and within the context of the National Action Plan on Public Health (2021-2025) and the National Prevention Programme ‘’Spyros Doxiades’’, UNICEF is scaling up programming to address the high prevalence of childhood obesity and promote child and family health.</p>
<p>In close coordination with the Deputy Representative, the Programme Support Unit (PSU) supports all Programme Sections of the Office in programme management and implementation, in tasks ranging from implementing partnerships, organization of workshops and events, low value procurement, budget monitoring, supporting in recruitment of consultants and affiliated personnel, as well as carrying out field monitoring.</p>
<p>Within the wider Programmes team, the PSU is responsible for ensuring optimum use of programme funds in order to deliver effectively on all programmatic priorities through guiding the programming; providing advice to UNICEF programme staff and partners on programme and project budget processes; and providing overall support and advice to the management in line with UNICEF and donor requirements. The PSU also supports the Programme section on the management and monitoring of UNICEF’s implementing partnerships, in cooperation with the Planning and Monitoring Officer NO1, and oversees HACT and PSEA-related actions. Furthermore, the PSU is working on establishing the Knowledge Management Strategy of the Office and in coordination with the Deputy Representative; overseeing Emergency, Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation activities, as well as leading Environmental Justice initiatives.</p>
<p>Under the supervision and guidance of the Programme Officer, the Programme Associate supports the respective teams by carrying out a range of programme support functions to help develop, implement and monitor their country programme, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations. </p>
<p>The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the CO, external partners and agency counterparts in support of programme design and delivery. They provides regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to keep activities on track.</p>
<p><span><strong><span>How can you make a difference</span></strong></span></p>
<p>The Programme Associate is accountable for the full spectrum of administrative and project/programme support activities. The key results have an impact on the overall performance of the country office and success in the implementation of project/programme activities. Accurate programme monitoring and recommendations, data entry and presentation of information ensure proper programme decision-making.</p>

<li>Providing interim support to Implementing Partnerships Management and field monitoring</li>
<li>Facilitating the development of programme cooperation agreements (PCAs) by providing information and drafting selected sections of it. </li>
<li>Ensuring the timely and accurate recording and administrative processing of government & NGO’s proposals and requests for direct cash transfers (DCTs).</li>
<li>Conducting programme monitoring in UNICEF focus districts for cash and supplies and informing team-members on the status.</li>
<li>Helping conduct regular spot checks of partner’s projects to assess their financial record-keeping, expenditure controls and reporting systems.</li>
<li>Monitoring and tracking the efficient distribution of supplies that are required for effective programme delivery.</li>
