About the role

We are currently seeking a Sales Training and Onboarding Coach in Ann Arbor, MI, reporting to the Onboarding and Training Manager through Sales.The primary purpose of this position is to help hire, train and oversee a successful sales onboarding and training program throughout the year for the Sales Department. This role aids in generating additional new sales revenue, leads and various sales projects and additional supporting teams within Thomson Reuters. The secondary responsibility is to collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to maintain and oversee campus recruiting events and intern activities.


About the Role
In this opportunity as a Sales Training and Onboarding Coach you will:

  • Participate in the onboarding and training program for sales new hire: interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching and daily management of sales reps and sales interns
  • Specific activities include: Weekly coaching meetings, Mentorship program, Call listening, Sales metric reporting, Sales training, Job shadow coordination, and Sales Intern program coordination
  • Make certain the sales representatives are trained to be effective in their pursuit of all sales and understand the general principles of effective prospecting, managing sales cycles, effective forecasting and achieving quota
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, Sales Enablement Team and Solutions Consultants for onboarding program and training needs
  • Campus relations - attending university activities and the liaison between Sales and the Talent Acquisition, consisting of: Career Fairs, Sales Competitions, Sales student organization events and Externship coordination


About You
You’re a fit for the role of Sales Training and Onboarding Coach if you have/are:

  • Track record of effective Leadership and Coaching
  • Capable of training sales representatives to increase sales acumen and efficiencies within the Tax and Accounting Professional Suite and supporting tools
  • Experience with interviewing candidates through behavior-based interviewing
  • Able to accept unforeseen projects as assigned by sales managers and sales leaders
  • Experience in excelling in a performance-based, metrics oriented business environment
  • Strong & influential communication skills
  • Experience with delivering effective training sessions
  • Track record of success of on-boarding personnel into an organization
  • Strong and sophisticated relationship building skills to work with other departments and Sales Leadership
  • Well-developed organizational skills with capability to manage self and others
  • Applying creativity, innovation and analysis to deliver best in class training program
  • BA/BS is preferred
  • 10%+ travel, position to be based in Ann Arbor, MI
  • 1+ year sales experience
  • 2+ years working within Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Professional sales environment preferred
