The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a PTS - Manufacturing Engineering Technician  for JD Power Systems located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

 

• Assist with critical projects related to cold test, emissions compliance and Mechatronics training plan

What Skills You Need

 

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in a technical field or Data & Analytics
• Ability to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
• Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
• Ability to commute to Waterloo on a daily basis year round
• Basic understanding of manufacturing engineering, good communication, project management and critical thinking skills. 

 

What Makes You Standout

 

• Internship or experience in a manufacturing operation.  Data analysis and/or AI experience (not required).

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Active student enrolled in a 4-year technical degree program.
