Diesel Mechanic Technician or Diesel Reefer Technician

Miller Truck Leasing is hiring an experienced diesel technician or refrigeration/reefer technician to work out of our Jersey City, NJ shop. Ideal applicants will have an interest in advancing their career and technical knowledge.

Diesel Mechanic Technician Duties:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
• Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
• Replace clutches & transmissions

Refrigeration Technician Duties:

• Perform general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 refrigeration vehicles
• Diagnose, document, and repair refrigeration equipment following proper warranty procedures

Requirements

• Diesel Mechanic Technician Requirements:
• 3+ years working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) OR the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with the assistance of our trainer
• Hand tools
• Ability to work: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm and alternating Saturdays 10:00am-6:30pm
• Refrigeration Technician Requirements:
• 3 or more years experience working on a Refrigeration Unit and 608 certification
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with the assistance of our trainer
• Hand tools
• Ability to work: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm and alternating Saturdays 10:00am-6:30pm
