About the role

Your Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux servers and operating systems.
  • Manage and support Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora environments.
  • Perform operating system updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and technical issues.
  • Support software deployments and upgrades in production environments.
  • Maintain and improve system documentation and operational procedures.
  • Manage virtualized environments using VMware technologies.
  • Provide second-line technical support for servers and infrastructure components.
  • Participate in production releases, maintenance windows, and go-live activities.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and system security settings.
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Proactively identify security risks and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure stable operations.

Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Linux administration, preferably Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora.
  • Good knowledge of system hardening and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with server patching and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts, including:
    • TCP/IP
    • DNS
    • VPN
    • Firewalls
    • Routing and switching
  • Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter.
  • Experience supporting enterprise server environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting using Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Nagios or Zabbix.
  • Knowledge of databases.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Understanding of application hosting environments.
  • Experience working in highly available or critical production environments.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Experience managing enterprise Linux environments.
  • Experience working with security, patch management, and system monitoring.
