What We Are Looking For:

This Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the operations department, creating and redesigning processes to streamline employee effectiveness, and contributing to and executing the overall client experience strategy of the company. The right candidate will be skilled in strategic leadership, team development, creative problem-solving, and have the ability to optimize the efficiency and productivity of our operations department. This role will report to the VP of Client Experience and is located in our Durham. NC office.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads.
• Recruit, train and manage a high-performing Operations team. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
• Develop training program and materials with assistance of our Learning & Development team to help team members acquire the knowledge and skills required to perform their operational roles effectively.
• Identify needs and opportunities for skill development on the Operations team.
• Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
• Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
• Use data and analytics to support and understand the business. Continually work to refine and better leverage the data to proactively and prescriptively run the business.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
• Serve as backup for various functional area leaders within Operations as needed.

What We Require:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Insurance knowledge preferred
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
