Role

Clarity is seeking a Senior Principal, HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join a dynamic Human Resources (HR) organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of HR, this role partners closely with leadership and corporate enablement functions to design and implement people strategies that are scalable, repeatable and high-impact that balance business outcomes, risk mitigation,  the employee experience and align with business growth goals. 

 

We are seeking a collaborative, team oriented and results focused HRBP to align talent initiatives with business needs and objectives. The right candidate for this role will be comfortable and successful operating in a fast-paced, private equity backed, high-build environment that is focused on rapid growth. This role offers flexibility and allows a mix of remote and in-office presence at either of our headquarters locations in Columbia, MD or Herndon, VA.

 

Responsibilities

Partner with Senior Director, HR in areas that support business growth and performance

  • Act as a consultative thought partner to business leaders on talent related strategies in support of a 1000-employee organization
  • Support a broad range of talent management areas including but not limited to succession planning, performance management, training and data analytics 
  • Develop, implement and lead talent related initiatives in support of business objectives to attract, retain and engage a highly technical workforce 
  • Provide proactive and consultative guidance serving as a trusted advisor to employees, supervisors, and senior leaders on HR-related matters
  • Partner with the business on change management initiatives and assist in the design of effective manager and employee communications
  • Lead complex internal investigations and work the resolution of employee relations cases. Develops and implements repeatable, scalable processes and frameworks to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all investigations
  • Advance a performance driven culture through goal-setting, ongoing performance feedback check-ins and annual review processes
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, measure effectiveness and drive strategic solutions
  • Partner with Compensation, Benefits and other HR functions to deliver integrated enterprise-wide solutions
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to ensure data integrity best practices are at the heart of the organization
  • Mentor and support HR team members by sharing expertise, providing guidance and fostering the development of consistent, high-quality practices across the department

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) or more years of progressive HRBP experience with demonstrated depth in Employee Relations, organizational effectiveness and talent strategy
  • Minimum of 5 years of HRBP experience supporting a government contracting employee workforce
  • Demonstrated business acumen in government contracting with the ability to connect people decisions with operational and business outcomes
  • Experience supporting change management, cultural transformation and process improvements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Deep experience in handling complex Employee Relations cases, embedding employment law principles and risk mitigation
  • General knowledge of HR principles, state and federal compliance requirements and legal practices
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills with experience in preparing
