Service Delivery Manager, Mill IT Varkaus

 We are now looking for a temporary Service Delivery Manager, IT to Varkaus sawmill to join our IT team. The role will be a temporary contract until June 2025, with possibility for extension. You will operate the IT infrastructure within Stora Enso and provide technical support to Stora Enso’s internal users of computer applications and hardware. You will run Service according to SLA and offer business-aligned IT services that ensure efficient and continuous business operation.

 We offer you a wide range of IT tasks, and your main responsibilities will be following:

 You will develop activities include configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading server applications, software, and hardware. Activities further include collaborating with other parts of IT to restore service and/or identify problems. You will ensure operational excellence of continuous services. You will measure the KPIs and end-to-end performance of the services and initiates development initiatives to improve service performance and quality.

 Main tasks:

• Responsible for all Mill IT Products, Hosting, Local Network, Firewall, 3rd line Workplace support, Telephony.
• Secure and maintain our IT environment in line with Stora Enso directives.
• Secure that IT processes are followed when operating the local IT environments.
• Operate and maintain our IT environment in relation to our SLA towards the units.
• 2nd line key resource to solve incidents remotely but also on site if needed
• Response and decision by own initiative in service scope
• Responsible for cost follow-up
• Manage requests from the units and act as contact towards internal and external service providers.
• Actively monitor and pro-actively take actions to secure high availability.
• Install software by request and secure that we meet license demands in all levels.
• Assist and guide local mill automation team where we have overlapping integrations.
• Participate in projects.
• Participate in on-call service, if agreed separately

Your location will be Varkaus sawmill but need to have readiness to travel and you will be working in Wood Products Division. You will report to Manager, Mill IT Wood Products North.

 Who are we looking for? 

 We are looking for a person, who has spearhead competence in specific IT area, you have a proven knowledge with MS products (latest server OS, latest clients, latest Office suit), good knowledge about network (setup, monitoring, and fault handling) and good knowledge about backup solutions and restore processes.

Your proficiency is based on a degree in IT (BSc or MSc). You are a great communicator both towards end users and business representatives. We expect you to be service minded and focus on quality and co-operation. You have analytical and problem-solving skills as well as you have ability to work independently. In agreed cases this position might require travelling. You communicate fluently in Finnish and English in verbal and written form. Finnish language skills are mandatory.
