Head of Community

Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen.

Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We’re joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.

We’re looking for a Head of Community who will lead Base’s online and in-person communities and support functions.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Manage and grow Base’s cross-platform online communities
• Create, curate and produce community content
• Scale community support and moderation infrastructure
• Coordinate and run in-person community events and meetups 
• Collect and synthesize community feedback to influence product development
• Serve as a public ambassador and figurehead for Base

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 10+ years of relevant experience in technology/crypto
• Experience growing a startup/project/community
• Experience scaling and operationalizing teams, systems and processes
• Deep connectivity in / understanding of the crypto ecosystem
• Strong public profile on social media
• Great communicator, comfortable talking in public and hosting live events
• Exceptional detail-oriented operational, project management and organizational skills
• Located in the United States

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).Pay Range: $193,970—$228,200 USD
