Job Summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in our brand new 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility! As a Warehouse Manager for Dorman, you will manage and coordinate activities of contributors within the Production and Distribution departments. This role is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with the flexibility to be available on the weekends as needed. If you desire the freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career, apply today! 

Primary Duties

  • Coordinate and hold daily shift meetings 
  • Provide input for resources needed; Agree on daily plan and allocate individuals to positions 
  • Monitor daily plan throughout the day to ensure that adequate resources have been allocated to meet the daily; Reallocate resources as needed 
  • Leads discussions with contributors relative to performance providing guidance and mentoring on developing skill sets, productivity and accuracy within the department. 
  • Coach, counsel and discipline subordinates who are not achieving department's minimum goals.  
  • Consistently support and effectively communicate company policies and procedures 
  • Enforce safety regulations and be proactive in identifying areas of improvement to enhance safety in the workplace 
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to support department and company goals. 
  • Present department goals and metrics weekly. 
  • Maintains time and productivity records 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leadership, organizational, and team-building skills
  • Experience leading continuous improvement activities relative to increasing productivity and accuracy in order picking and shipping
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • WMS experience highly desirable – SAP
  • RF experience and PC skills required – Kronos, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate 

Education / Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or HS Diploma with equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training 
  • Minimum 5 years’ of supervisory experience in a high-volume warehouse / distribution / shipping environment
