Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Warranty Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to review, plan and act within the needs of the Warranty Parts Inspection Program. This person will be the main contact for dealers throughout Region/Areas and monitor current parts requests, analyze and identify opportunities to reduce and increase parts to be returned, while also supporting the warranty expense control department and ad hoc audit activities.
Reporting to the Warranty Field Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Warranty Expense Control Department objective to provide fair, accurate, and timely responses to our dealers relating to their parts recovery and audit processes.
What you’ll be doing
- Administrate the warranty parts recovery process – Plan, review and perform daily/weekly/monthly tasks within the Warranty Parts Recovery system.
- Field Interface - Interact with field staff and management regarding expense control topics related to warranty expense issues, parts recovery, dealer self-debits, access requests, claim reviews and claim inquiries. Support all field requests related to warranty expense control.
- Warranty Expense Control (PARTS) - Evaluate warranty parts inspection trends to identify adjustments to maximize inspection opportunities while mitigating shipping and inspection costs.
- Perform dealer debits/chargebacks to support expense control activities
- Assist in the design and creation of internal and external data visualizations as well as exploring new comparison models. To be utilized as KPIs and resources for the field and dealer networks.
- Field Training/Communications - Conduct DSPM expense control training involving Parts Recovery System, Dealer Self Debits and other expense control related activities such as monthly newsletters.
- Administer access requests and other field requests as it pertains to Warranty Expense Control.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or 2+ years equivalent work experience in data analysis
- Automotive fixed operations experience such as Parts Department and Service
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint
- Customer relations experience for internal and external customers
Added bonus if you have
- Spanish language proficiency, including the ability to read, write, and speak
- Experience with database query tools such as Alteryx, MySQL etc.
- Automotive Technical Experience / Certifications (ASEs)
- Experience working with dealership including reading and interpreting a repair order
- Experience with Warranty claims and processing
