We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing through a Summer and Fall co-op with our New Product Introduction team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Co-op term is approximately May or June start - through early to mid December 2026. You would need to take the fall semester off. Everyday you’ll be using your engineering skills working with manufacturing personnel to ensure Collins Aerospace customer expectations are met. 

Joining the New Product Introduction team presents the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll gain experience in many different areas. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do: 

  • You will transition new products from development to manufacturing.
  • You will assist in developing, preparing, and analyzing test and diagnostic programs to aid in the troubleshooting of test failures.
  • You will test equipment operation (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, etc.).
  • You will be working with electrical engineers and test technicians to understand product and test system issues.
  • You will design printed-circuit boards.

What You Will Learn:  

  • How to apply engineering theory to practical applications. 
  • Lifecycle value stream of products; from initial concept to final delivery and beyond.

Qualifications You Must Have:  

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:  

  • Displays experience using Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Fundamental circuit theory.
  • Works well independently and with cross functional teams.
