OEM Production Packing Associate

The Opportunity:

Entry level position; monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation. Inspect, check and document process production activities. Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping and receiving activities and other production and facility capacities as assigned. Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.
1st shift 5:00AM - 1:30PM M-F.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

▪ Process production orders efficiently and in accordance with Bill of Material and FLA 
instructions.
▪ Observes and follows corporate policy, instructions and related goals.
▪ Complete all required and pertinent paperwork according to the company’s good 
documentation practices.
▪ Set up, operate, and clean department equipment including, but not limited to:
o Heat gun
o Heat tunnel 
o Labelers
o Pallet jacks
o Heat sealers
o Tow-motors
▪ Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and material.
▪ Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly 
condition according to department, corporate, and industry standards.
▪ Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, quality concerns, safety issues, 
improper operations and unusual conditions to supervisor.
▪ Complete work schedules while meeting departmental and company efficiency, on-time 
shipping, and quality goals and standards.
▪ Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

▪ High School completion or equivalent (GED)
▪ 1-3 years of warehousing/shipping experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing 
environment
▪ OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel preferred

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Problem-solving skills

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required

• Must be reliable and detail-oriented

Typically works in a production environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 25 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
