About the role

Education/Certification Required:

  • Master's degree in education or other relevant areas.
  • T-TESS Certification

Experience Required:

  • Three (3) years of experience in working with assessment and/or accountability at the campus or district level.
  • Campus Administration Experience (Assistant Principal or Principal)
  • One (1) year experience in Teacher Incentive Allotment implementation, assessment, data reporting and submission.
  •  

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Texas State Assessment Program.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local accountability systems.
  • Understanding of basic measurement concepts associated with objective and normative testing.
  • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and assessment data.
  • Understanding of concepts associated with testing and growth measures associated with Teacher Incentive Allotment program
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of data structures and data analysis strategies that will maximize the validity and reliability of data as well as the results
  • Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
  • Strong ability to lead, inspire and involve others to produce quality results

 
Technology Proficiencies Required: Level 2 (use of)

  • Proficient in computer operations
  • Proficient in Software productivity tools (i.e., Microsoft Office)
  • Proficient in use of e-mail and printers, and multimedia tools
  • Proficient in job-related student management systems and web-based applications
  • CCISD Acceptable Use Policy and Technical Ethics/Etiquette
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately

Function

The Assessment and Accountability Coordinator supports the Director for Strategic Evaluation and Assessment Supports in leading the district's Assessment and Accountability Department by providing direct assistance and technical guidance to district and campus staff regarding state and local assessment, accountability, and Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) systems. This position assists with the planning, implementation. coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of assessment, accountability, and TIA initiatives; ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws, policies, procedures, and timelines; supports the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of assessment, accountability, and TIA data; collaborates with district and campus leaders to promote accurate implementation and continuous improvement; and contributes to the effective administration of programs that support student achievement, educators effectiveness, and organizational performances.

Director of Strategic Evaluation and Assessment Supports

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Director for Strategic Evaluation and Assessment Supports, oversees Gifted and Talented (GT) testing procedures. Interprets policy, procedures and data relating to assessment.
  • Develops annual district assessment plans, calendars, and timelines for distribution to district and campus leaders.
  • Serves as a consultant for assessment committees on issues related to assessment (i.e., 504, special education, etc.).
  • Ability to organize and lead staff in planning and implementation of a successful state assessment program at the campus level.
  • Stays abreast of federal, state, and local mandates regarding accountability and assessment. Ensure overall operations are supportive of the district mission, vision, and Lone Star Governance (LSG) goals and objectives.
  • Leads team in preparing analyses of district and campus results and facilitates technical assistance to campuses in understanding the results.
  • Supports the implementation, data reporting, and data submission for the Teacher Incentive Allotment program. 

Analysis System Monitoring
 

  • Conduct routine audits of all assessment implementation plans
  • Review data to conduct trend analysis to determine program strengths and needs.
  • Serves as an accountability resource for all campuses.
