Position Specific Description

The Manager Special Projects ISC role focuses on solar panel procurement and contracting for NEER and FPL solar construction projects. Responsibilities include selecting and sourcing appropriate equipment, ensuring timely delivery, and achieving project economics through energy generation. The role requires extensive collaboration with technical, operational, and development teams, alongside effective communication with executive management. Oversight includes large-scale project management, global supplier relationship maintenance, and specific tasks like contract development and commercial negotiation. The position requires strong project documentation, understanding of project scopes, and coordination across various business units. Key duties also involve leading projects to completion within deadlines, with some international travel. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 8+ years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications highlight familiarity with NextEra’s procurement processes, multitasking capabilities, technical and business management experience, and skills in contracts and negotiation.

Job Overview

Employees in this role oversee large and complex special projects. Individuals assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine and acquire resources as needed.

• Understands the entire scope and requirements of project
• Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project
• Drives contract development with, and commercial negotiation on, large deals
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
