Performance Marketing Manager, Paid Social
The Growth Marketing team at Expedia is looking for a seasoned, innovative, and technically adept marketer to own and scale automated advertising programs across Expedia Group Brands globally. This role will manage the strategic approach and tactics for Mobile-App-Install (MAI) campaigns and/or Transactional advertising, with large marketing partners like Google & Meta, and smaller partners like Apple, Pinterest, or TikTok. As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will analyze and optimize campaign performance against a clear set of performance goals, create and execute well-structured tests, and scale successful strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in end-to-end campaign creation, A/B testing, and high attention to detail. In addition, you will be analytical, curious, detail-oriented, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable in taking action with minimal supervision. Candidates must demonstrate a superior track record for ownership, creative problem solving and strategic thinking. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
What you’ll do:
- Access and interpret data to regularly inform decision making (SQL, data-mining experience)
- Be able to distill and communicate complex problems and concepts to a variety of audiences to drive alignment and remove blockers
- Optimize performance to meet goals, such as maximizing net profit
- Have a solid understanding of foundational advertising P&L concepts and econometrics, including elasticity and incrementality
- Form and execute a strategy to solve complex problems which involves large scale data analysis
- Work directly with marketing partners to understand platform capabilities and explore marketing campaigns
- Design and carry out well-structured, scientific experiments (including tracking, measuring, and reporting)
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with analytical focus (Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc.) or related fields; or equivalent related professional experience
- 5+ years of performance marketing experience
- Experience managing a multi-million-dollar marketing budget and leading large-scale, automated campaigns
- Functional/ Technical Skills (basic SQL/data mining and visualization); have identified methods for collecting data, performing analyses and articulating findings
- Demonstrated experience using scientific methodologies to assess performance and design experiments
- Advanced knowledge of budget management and can run ROI assessment independently
- Establishes working relationships with stakeholders and gains stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their concerns to further long-term interests
- Demonstrated strong ownership and bias for action
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of industry best practices, products/services and their applications; distinguishes the pros/cons and implications of the options
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
