LEW General Labor

General Summary:

The general labor position monitors cheese quality, adds cheese to conveyor on a 100% conventional gas flush line, inspection of product for extraneous, and assisting operators.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor product and product packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Responsible for the operation of the processing conveyors in accordance with the company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following good manufacturing practices (GMP’s)
• Responsible for inspecting product to ensure quality
• Well need to add Favor cheese to Deboxer unit and monitor operations.
• Perform housekeeping and other daily duties as required.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, Leads, Sr. Supervisors and Managers.

 

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

 

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

 

• Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
• Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs.
• Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices.
• Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays and possible overtime.

Pay Rate: $23.00
