Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Sr. Financial Analyst for a highly visible position within a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, independent and critical business thinker with experience in the manufacturing industry.  Successful candidates will be highly analytical, process improvement oriented, and demonstrates drive, people skills and business partner ability to deliver results within a global and diverse business.

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze, interpret financial data, support and act as primary Financial Analyst for the Business Units “E-Machines” (MA) and “E-Axel” (EA) in the Electrified Motion (EM) division in NA.
  • Be the financial advisor to the Regional Business Unit (RBU), Regional and BU global leadership, as well as a partner to the plant controlling.
  • Investigate variances, and their impact on planned objectives.
  • Analyze, understand in depth, and challenge product costs, project calculations and investment calculations.
  • Present financial results including month end results, forecasts, and business plan to regional and central leadership.
  • Furnish timely communication to the (RBU leader and global controller on business issues, providing supporting documentation and recommending alternative course of action. 
  • Focus on continuous business process improvements, challenge current processes and procedures to determine if improvements are a potential, and consequently implement process improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5+ years accounting and/or controlling experience.
  • Availability for occasional travel to Charleston, SC.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, accounting and/or finance.
  • 5+ years’ experience in finance / accounting within Automotive/Manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Functionally proficient in SAP, Essbase, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • FP&A experience preferred.
