SCADA System Maintenance Technician II
Are you a skilled technician with a passion for maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure? We are seeking a SCADA System Maintenance Technician II to play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of APS' SCADA network.
You are responsible for:
- System Surveillance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily monitoring, diagnostics, and advanced troubleshooting of SCADA system issues and alarms to maintain high system availability.
- Performance Optimization: Work proactively with engineering teams to maximize system efficiency and reliability while identifying areas for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all SCADA network operations meet regulatory standards and internal policies, maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to sustain optimal network functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance SCADA system performance, security, and resilience.

Minimum Requirements
SCADA System Maintenance Technician II
- Associates Degree in Technical Studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
- Proficient in electric and/or electronic theory, along with a general knowledge of math and science
- PLUS two (2) years progressively responsible experience demonstrating knowledge of data network infrastructure, networking, application integration, integration services and maintenance/support in a focused technical area
- Technical knowledge of multi-platform LAN/WAN distributed and/or mainframe systems
- Good analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and customer service and communications skills, and knowledge of emerging technologies
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
- Knowledge of service offerings; customer service principles; various computer software applications, PCs, operating systems, and other computer-related technologies.
- Understanding of AC/DC theory and grounding practices.
- Fundamentals in internet protocols (IP), basic networking and Ethernet functionality
- Good working knowledge of business processes and the effective application of technology in the large enterprise work environment.
- Fitness for duty may be required during on-call assignment.
- Some emergency overtime may be required.
- Real time systems run in production 7x24 (7 days, 24 hours/day); therefore, 24 hour operations is required, this position may require shift work.
