pureIntegration, a technology consulting firm with 18+ years of experience servicing fortune 100 clients, is seeking a Java Developer, Senior (Java / Spring Boot, Reactive programming, Embedded unit test.) to join our growing team developing video platforms that handle billions of requests and millions of users.  The team designs, develops, delivers innovative products and services essential to bringing Internet, TV and voice to more than 28 million residential and business customers. 

Location: Remote

Work Arrangement: Full-Time Employee (FTE).

Job Description

Responsibilities:  

• Understand the roadmap, and translate it into Epics, Features, and Stories.
• Design and document the solution architecture.
• Develop or enhance and test the application's user interface and microservices. 
• Actively participate in all the scrum meetings, size the stories accurately, work on the stories independently, and deliver them on time.
• Flexible to work on new technologies and tools as needed.
• Actively communicate and collaborate with the team via Slack, Teams, etc.
• Monitor and maintain the operational readiness of Middleware Applications, including applications hosted in the AWS cloud.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements to enhance functionality and/or simplify system administration. Facilitate and develop plans for application changes (including defect fixes, enhancements, and/or configuration changes).
• Configure and test changes to the system, including reports, security access, and workflow. Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment.
• Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.

• AWS – S3, EC2, EKS, Lambdas
• CI/CD - Concourse, Jenkins, Ansible, CloudFoundry, Terraform
• Monitoring - Prometheus, ELK, Splunk
• Linux Commands and Scripting
• Source code repository: GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab
• Knowledge - Design Patterns, Performance, and Scalability Strategies

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications working on all tiers of the application primarily backend.
• An experienced mentor who can work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Services – Expert-level implementation skills in building highly scalable services (SOAP and REST)
• Spring – Expert-level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Integration.
• Skilled at building modern REST Web services
• Experience with additional scripting languages such as Linux, Python • AWS services – S3, Lambdas, ECS, EKS, etc.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or relevant work experience.
