Senior Accountant

Location: (Remote, some travel periodically required)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to engage in a broad range of accounting projects for a company that is in growth mode with several recent acquisitions and more in the pipeline. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency within our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare period-end accruals and journal entries.

· Sales & use tax monthly filing for 6+ states.

· Bank reconciliations and cash management.

· Manage accounts receivables and customer deposits.

· Oversight of inventory management and margin analysis.

· Workpaper preparation and external audit readiness.

· General Ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations.

· Compiling financial statements and performing variance analytics.

· Heavy involvement with budgets and reforecasting, partnering with Department leaders.

· Assist with financial and tax audits.

· Fixed Asset and depreciation management.

· Assisting with developing and improving accounting policies and guidelines.

· Collaborate with fellow accounting team members on other special projects and system implementations.

· In-venue audits as needed.

 

Qualifications: 

· BS in Accounting or Finance.

· Minimum 4 years’ experience.

· Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail with exceptional analytical skills.

· Proven process improvement initiative and execution.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.

· Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

· Comfortable working remotely and staying virtually connected with teammates.

Preferred Qualification Experience:

· Using accounting software and database systems.

· In the hospitality or food service industry.

· with system changes/implementation a plus (ERP, POS, AP tools, etc).

· with acquisitions (travel may be required).
