Senior Project Manager III (part time) - Columbus, NE 

***This is a part‑time role, averaging no more than 32 hours per week, for an experienced professional who can operate with high impact and autonomy.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Project Manager III will lead capital and operational integration projects across ADM’s existing facilities while supporting the Senior Business Leadership on greenfield joint venture project opportunities.

The purpose of this role is to align existing facility assets, operational systems, and capabilities within potential JV opportunities, while contributing part‑time subject matter expertise.

Key Accountabilities

     
Existing Facility Asset Integration & Alignment

  • Lead assessment and integration projects aligning existing site infrastructure, utilities, logistics, digital systems, and operations with JV requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage current assets to reduce capital, expand capacity, or improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate brownfield–greenfield interfaces and ensure compatibility during commissioning.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams for facility readiness.
     Synergy Identification, Tracking & Delivery
  • Conduct synergy evaluations to quantify opportunities between the existing facility and JV.
  • Develop and manage a structured synergy roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to capture synergy value while minimizing disruptions.
     Part‑Time SME Support to the Senior Program Director
  • Provide subject matter expertise on existing operations and engineering practices.
  • Participate in JV design reviews, risk assessments, and Stage-Gate deliverables.
  • Support interface management between plant leadership, JV partners, EPC/EPCM partners, and licensors.
  • Provide periodic analysis and advisory support during critical phases.
     Cross‑Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Function as liaison between existing site leadership and JV program team.
  • Align technical requirements, timing, resources, and system integration.
  • Ensure transparent communication of decisions, risks, and constraints.
     Project Management & Delivery (Part‑Time)
  • Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans for integration and synergy projects.
  • Manage contractors, internal teams, and cross‑functional contributors.
  • Ensure integration activities minimize disruption to current operations.
     Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify interface risks and drive proactive mitigation
  • Facilitate lessons learned across operational and capital teams
  • Recommend ongoing process improvements
