Parts Specialist

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations, has an opening for a Parts Specialist at its Mobile, Alabama location.  A Parts Specialist is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. Having direct customer interaction, the Parts Specialist performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.

Essential Duties:

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
• Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Makes daily sales call to previous customers and new potential customers
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order

Requirements

• Experience working in a parts department, preferably in heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to use computer applications
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
