Manufacturing Data Specialist

 

A manufacturing data specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing data that supports manufacturing operations, such as bills of materials, product codes, and production routings. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of manufacturing data in ERP systems and collaborates with teams across production, engineering, supply chain, and quality control to drive process improvements and efficiency.

 

Status: Salaried Exempt   Position Type: Full-time   Hours: 40-45 hrs    Schedule: M-F

 

Reports to: Production Control Manager

  • Create, Update, and Maintain manufacturing Product Codes & Data

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update manufacturing data, such as bills of materials (BOM), product codes, routings, and raw materials in ERP systems.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze manufacturing process data to support process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Generate and manage reports and dashboards on production metrics, performance indicators, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure data integrity and facilitate process changes.
  • Document, review, and approve data for new and existing products, including changes in material, labor, and manufacturing routes.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all manufacturing records.
  • Assist with implementation and improvement of data management procedures and support data-driven initiatives within manufacturing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing setting. May be subject to the current local weather conditions.
