• Design and implement components at all layers of the system, including kernel, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, security, I/O systems, and persistence.
• Design and implement drivers and services that operate efficiently in a constrained environment yet when pressed can efficiently deliver large volumes of data with low-latency and high-bandwidth.
• Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues that typically span across multiple layers from kernel to application.
• Profile performance problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack.
• Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning exercises that span multiple hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Understand software components from multiple partner teams, lead the integration of those components into the unified product code base, and drive their continued development.
• 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the US.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
• Requires 2 years of experience involving the following:
• 1. Device driver development, embedded systems, and operating systems
• 2. Working on systems software in a large-scale C/C++ code base
• 3. Hardware bring up using interfaces including ADC, GPIO, SPI, or I2C
• 4. BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, RTOS, Bootloader, Power Management, Linux, Graphics and Display Drivers, and MCU (Microcontroller)
• 5. Developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools and
• 6. Software Development processes including source control, bug tracking, and design documentation.

US$258,524/year to US$290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits
