The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc (“nVent”) and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems. WHAT YOU HAVE:

* EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. 2 to 4 years of
experience, preferably in the Electro-Mechanical Field as a Field
Service Technician, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
* SKILLS: Strong reading, writing, and communication skills. Good
mathematical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
advanced Excel skills preferred.
* CUSTOMER FOCUS: Ability to work autonomously and within a team in
a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Self-motivated with
attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting. Willingness to travel
50-75% of the time, including occasional extended stays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical
tests on systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure functionality or
diagnose issues.
* Perform service tasks at various off-site locations as directed by
management.
* Read and interpret work orders, test manuals, specifications,
wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and
equipment to be used.
* Prepare reports including daily findings, analysis, and solutions;
complete travel, time sheets, and expense reports efficiently.
* Troubleshoot issues using instrumentation, documentation, and
knowledge to identify and correct problems.
* Connect units to test equipment, such as motor generators,
multimeters, or current injectors, and monitor performance.
* Analyze test results to determine causes of failure and implement
solutions, including replacing defective wiring and components.
* Collaborate with engineering technicians, production staff, and
others to resolve testing issues.
* Assist with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
* Travel to customer sites for startups, troubleshooting, or training
on switchgear operations and equipment.
