Purpose
Provide administrative and financial support to the McCombs School of Business through the development and maintenance of financial reports/dashboards and assisting with ad hoc requests while providing high quality customer service to our faculty and staff.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain electronic applications, databases, queries, visualizations and raw data reports to provide accurate financial data for Financial Affairs. Design, document, and implement internal financial reporting systems for units within the McCombs School of Business.
Develop new Tableau worksheets and assist in maintaining Tableau dashboards and worksheets for MSB hosted on IQ Tableau server.
Assist in preparation of annual salary increase workbooks for departments and prepare a summary report on use of merit and salary adjustment funds for the executive leadership team.
Compile various reports that involve the information maintained by Business Affairs. One of the main reports/surveys are AACSB reports as they relate to staff/faculty salary, demographics, and qualifications. Ability to gather and organize large amounts of data, as well as work with other internal departments, to answer survey questions and meet deadlines.
Assist in information gathering, updating and distributing budget workbooks to departments. Assist in entering budget information into the University’s budget system.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field plus three years of responsible level experience planning, forecasting and financial analysis. Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and presenting financial data. Established analytical skills with attention to detail, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently and on multiple projects and within a team, and under pressure of strict deadlines. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Competent in Microsoft Office Applications. Experience working with complex Excel spreadsheets and large amounts of data. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education and an academic environment. The ideal candidate should be innovative, skilled at anticipating changing priorities, a self-starter, highly collaborative, able to work well under changing environments, respond well to feedback, and works well as part of a team. Experience with *DEFINE, Workday, IBM Cognos, Tableau or other business intelligence suites.
Salary Range
$75,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
Works in standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
May require additional hours during peak periods and special events.

This is an Austin, TX-based position and is eligible for hybrid work.
