General Position Summary
Oversee all functions of LIDS U stores and associates within a given geographic area to include DRIVING sales, controlling expenses with emphasis on developing store associates through training and accountability.
This position works in the Southern region of the US and requires specific travel across the region.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
DRIVE Sales
- Consistently ensure maximum sales results through effective store visits.
- Create a selling culture, through consistent feedback and documentation of results.
- Ensure adherence to the guidelines in the Brand Visual guide, including proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness, in all stores supervised.
- Performs work of subordinates, as needed. Must be able to perform essential functions of all store positions.
- Partner with associates at all levels of the company to achieve goals of region.
- Conduct on site store support visits at BNC operated bookstores…mark down compliance, new product on sales floor, reticketing, additional store sales support on campus events, support for special product launches and events
- Main point of contact between store and Lids U/Fanatics, for any escalations and concerns for online
- Work with teammates on monthly/bi-weekly/quarterly meetings to execute store needs and requests for proper on time delivery
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of all policies.
- Consistently ensure responsibility in expense control through effective store visits.
- Perform proper documentation and record keeping of Store Visit Reports.
- Partner with associates at all levels of the company to achieve goals of district and region.
Associate Partnerships
- Partner with BNC store associates through store visits, and regular follow up, in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.
- Partner with store associates to discuss needs during special product launches/events.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisal of store’s performance, inventory management, and other key areas to the Regional Director.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- Four year degree in business or a related field and one year relevant experience or; two year degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience or; three years of relevant experience.
- Established ability to produce sales results, while minimizing loss.
- Proven aptitude to perform independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven supervisory skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and professional manner.
- Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.
- Ability to work varying days and hours, based on business needs, and maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, certificate of auto insurance coverage, and the ability to drive an automobile.
- Extensive travel (up to 90%) in a given geographic area. Driving required for up to 100% of the daily work schedule.
- Standing required for up to 90% of the work time.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
