The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Manufacturing Technology Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Drive innovation within our 3M Manufacturing Operations using both internal and external technologies
• Lead or support non-solvent coating technology development & deployment projects
• Support of New Product Introductions through process development
• Participate in execution of Coating technology platform strategic plans
• Collaborating and supporting global manufacturing

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Four (4) years of combined in manufacturing and/or technology development in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• UV & Thermal cured PSA experience
• Experience with web processing processes (winding, lamination, web handling)
• Experience with coating processes (roll, slot-die, others)
• Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university
• Strong leadership, project management and influencing skills

Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN  at least 3 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
