Job Description Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor is a licensed professional who will play a pivotal role in the oversight of the day to day clinic operations. The Clinical Supervisor will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality patient care while upholding ethical standards. The Clinical Supervisor will lead and manage all clinical staff, provide administrative oversight of clinic operations, manage all supplies and medication within clinic, and act as clinical subject matter expert. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor will act as a mentor to clinical staff in supporting the professional development, performance, and enhancement of skills to ensure they are compliant with regulations. The Clinical Supervisor is there to guide the team to delivering safe and effective extraordinary care. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Operations Leader and/or Director with specific leaderships tasks and functions within the clinic.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of medical assistants, infusion nurses and infusion providers including performance reviews, competencies, and training team members on new workflows to ensure consistent high-quality care

  • Schedules/Time Management: Create team staffing schedules, monitor and approve time cards, and manage clinic throughput to optimize patient care and utilization

  • Policy and Procedure Compliance: Monitor and ensure clinical staff alignment and adherence to Option Care’s current policies and procedures, maintaining quality and safety compliance

  • Meetings and Collaboration: Hold regular 1:1’s with team members, monthly team meetings, and promote a safe and open environment to help capture engagement, involvement, and improvement of clinical operations.

  • Supply/Medication Oversight: Timely coordination of supplies, equipment and medication within the Infusion Clinic

  • Leadership: Provide guidance and clinical expertise to assist and educate the team while utilizing available resources to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

  • Mentorship: Aid and support team members in coaching opportunities to help improve their overall impact and contribution to the team and company

  • Direct Patient Care/Support: Function as both a supervisor and a clinical team member seeing and treating patients

  • Complies with requirements of the Company and ensures that services are provided in a manner consistent with established standards of practice, federal and state regulations, accreditation standards and agency policy.

Basic Education and/or Experience

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner within applicable state

  • Enrollment and completion of a bridge plan from RN to BSN within 24 months of holding position, if BSN is not already completed

  • BLS Certification is required

  • CRNI certification obtained within 1 year (12 months) of holding position

  • 3 years of experience in infusion care is required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with progressive leadership required
