Job Description
NBCUniversal’s Strategic Business Operations team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Legal, and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic programs throughout the enterprise in order to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects. We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required in order to compete within today’s highly complex multi-platform & fragmented media landscape.
The Manager, Privacy Monitoring will support in the development of our Privacy Monitoring function partnering with audit and business leaders to help verify and improve our privacy compliance.
The candidate will be expected to understand best practices in audit and monitoring to assist in the development of our strategy. The data privacy landscape is going through significant change and this leader is expected to know global trends and work on developing a program which will have the flexibility to adjust based on business objectives and the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
The candidate will be a business engagement leader, working across multiple business partners ensuring supporting risk management and remediation, while also developing multi-year strategic planning and roadmap alignment.
This role requires working flexible hours to support business partners globally.
Requirements:
- 5+ years within Audit / Monitoring
- Capability to support developing a privacy control framework, aligned to legislation and industry standards
- Experience in Privacy regulations and industry standards, including European, U.S. Industry standards, and other international laws
- Capability to lead small audits, or own completion of significant components of larger audits
- Apply knowledge and expertise in privacy risks to assess applicability and impact of privacy-related regulations
- Develop engagement planning documentation for assigned areas to communicate rationale for scoping decisions and develop audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risks
- Design and execute appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls
- Prepare clear, organized, and complete documentation to support work performed, including draft findings
- Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements
- Effectively partner with internal audit
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to speak/present with legal industry vocabulary and translate into workable legal applications solutions
- Demonstrate best practice knowledge for audit documentation and data privacy

- Possess strong technical skills to manage and solve complex technical issues

- Experience within media entertainment industry
