Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team out of our Chandler, AZ facility.
Shift: 4:30a-3:30p, Monday- Thursday, OT on Fridays as required
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the plant’s production and support teams with a strong emphasis on safety, throughput, and productivity. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires active engagement on the floor to support operations as needed — including forklift operation, packaging, and quality verification. The Supervisor plays a key role in creating a positive work environment while ensuring team accountability, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze work orders to estimate labor requirements and develop daily/weekly production schedules.
- Supervise machine operators and forklift drivers across assigned shift(s), ensuring effective workflow and alignment with production goals.
- Coordinate with preventative maintenance leadership to schedule equipment downtime.
- Track and report production metrics, including downtime, attendance, overtime, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in hiring activities, including candidate interviews and onboarding.
- Train, coach, and evaluate employee performance; manage corrective actions and employee relations in partnership with HR.
- Lead safety initiatives including daily meetings, weekly safety talks, and hourly safety walks.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment through monitoring, enforcement, and employee engagement.
- Provide hands-on operational support as needed, including forklift operation, packaging, and product testing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and employee timekeeping.
- Foster a team-oriented, collaborative work culture that emphasizes communication, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance from all team members, including self.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Solid understanding of production processes, controls, and scheduling
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support production activities directly
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel
- Experience with performance reviews, employee coaching, and conflict resolution
- Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of accountability
Education and Experience:
- Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience
- Preferred:
- 5–7 years of industry experience
- 2–4 years of experience leading teams
- A combination of relevant work experience and education may be considered
- Bi-lingual (Spanish & English)
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and hot temperatures.
- Regular physical activity including standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on equipment operation.
- May require PPE and availability for overtime, weekends, or multiple shifts as needed.
