Northpointe is a Community Mental Health (CMH) organization providing services to individuals with serious mental illness, emotional disturbance, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual/developmental disabilities across Iron, Dickinson, and Menominee counties in the UP of Michigan. Northpointe itself was established in 1995 but has roots as a CMH dating back to 1964. Our presence can be found through remote emergency services, in school and home-based programs, and in clinical and residential home settings.

 Job Purpose 

The role serves to coordinate and compile provider service data, payment records, and service recipient financial information for use in maintaining the service recipient accounts receivable. This position works collaboratively with the Reimbursement Specialist role to ensure efficiency and productivity. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

 Essential Duties 

     

• Tracks and monitors Medicaid eligibility and redetermination dates.

• Assists service recipients with the application process for benefits and aids with questions/problems related to eligibility.

• Assists with spend down monitoring and reporting as requested.

• Attends conferences and seminars as needed.

 Requirements

Education, Certifications, and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disability preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Healthy Michigan programs and experience with the application process preferred. 

Salary Description $18.06 to $23.73 hourly
