As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr/Data Center Network Engineer within PNC’s Data Center Network organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Preferred Skills Include:
• Sr. Data Center Network Engineer with experience in design, implementation and 24x7 support of complex data center networks across multiple locations.

• Knowledge of the following Data Center network hardware/software:
* Arista 7010TX, 7060CX2, 7280CR2/3, 7280SR2/3 series of Data Center switches running EOS
* Cisco Nexus 9K/7K/5K/3K/2K series of Data Center switches running NX-OS
* Cisco CRS, ASR9K & NCS 55XX devices running IOS-XR
* Cisco ISR4K, ASR1K, Catalyst 8300/9400/4500 series of routers/switches running IOS-XE

• Knowledge of Internet Protocols/network/services/technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, SDN, VXLAN, EVPN, Leaf/Spine fabric, etc.

• Ability to identify network operational tasks and automate them via Python, Ansible, etc.

Job Description

  • Provides expertise on platform engineering, while overseeing the team's effort and meeting customer needs. Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for complex projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • Provides expertise on best practices, standards, engineering approaches and complex technical resolutions for processes.
  • Places emphasis on quality improvement efforts; ensures that deliverables are secure, scalable and reliable through estimation and correction.
  • Communicates with customers and integrates their needs with development, to meet business objectives.
